Monday, February 27, 2006 - Never got around to drinking this bottle and figured it was shot. Boy, was I wrong. Nice, rich aromatics with orchid florals, cardamon and resins. Thick body, wraps around the tongue. Good bright acidity with green papaya and star fruit like character. Maybe some lychee there too. A bit of oily notes and glyercin reveal the high levels of ripeness here. Soft finish with mellow caramelized fruit notes. Really delicious and enjoyable with a torte and salad. Had definite Condrieu elements hiding in a big pretty (but atypique) package.
