Tuesday, June 30, 2015 - This is distinctly impressive sherry, which I wouldn't necessarily have expected, given the "branded" aspect of it and that it's a "medium" sherry, but you can tell immediately there's some significant age behind this wine (I think it's actually around 30). Rich, dark, and toasty/roasty on the nose with caramel, vanilla, walnuts, and treacle, it's woody and structured with a dense core, relieved by a fresh, bitter orange and coffee complexity. It's hard not to like this.
