Wednesday, June 17, 2015 - Popped and poured. It took 45 mins of aeration to come around. It was accessible tonight and easier to open up than the 01 Richebourg. The color was darker than the Richebourg. It was a masculine DRC with dark fruit, mint, herbs, spices, wild berries, and stones on the nose. With some time, the sweetness emerged on the palate. Overall, the wine was very complex with a lot of power. Its surprisingly accessible today, but no rush to open now. I think it has just entered its drinking window and it will last for 10 years.
