Purple fruit and herbs are crowded out by harsh tannins. This wine was served on pop and pour and some time in the glass did not soften the unrepentant tannins. As a result, the fruit was crowded out. Seems like a very serious wine, but at this stage it is giving off little pleasure. Medium body/finish.
