Tuesday, September 9, 2014 - A Visit To Jos. Christoffel Jr. In Urzig (Weingut Jos Christoffel Jr): The nose has engaging scents of of golden apples, dried hay, and dried peaches and apricots. When tasted, light flower flavors start things out followed by pears and yellow apples. Honey flavors sing on the mid palate, never becoming too heavy, and echoes of pineapple show themselves on the finish. The texture is soft, and the wine sits long and light on the palate. What a treat!
