Lovely vintage champagne from a year that most Press rate highly. Mid-straw colour, good consistent fine bead. Nose of caramel, biscuits, not intense. Tons of flavour in the mouth, is impressive, apples, biscuity, leesy, still firm structure, plenty of lasting flavour, a nice essence at the end, hints of wood, not completely dry. Not the very best vintage champers I've had, but at £45 a bottle not the most expensive either. Not yet fully mature, I think; if I had more I'd open it in 2018. Marked it Silver+.
