Saturday, March 16, 2013 - I am astonished by this pure form of Syrah. Truly an effervescently enamored colour of violet and garnet, with a sanguine and purpling rim. The purity and length are immeasurable, with the most seamless structure ever from this hardly superfluous vineyard. Magnetic on the nose, exemplifying Blueberry cobbler, thyme, cedar, sweet 'n' sour sauce, sun-drenched earth and soy sauce. Layers and layers of structured fruit, showing a long finish of forest floor qualities. The mid palate shows the strength and inveterately chiseled qualities of marble. Truly classic in every sense of the word. Drink 2015 - 2027.

I'll have to get one of these opened when they arrive, as you have me curious now. BTW, the 2007 is drinking excellent these days, really well.
