Thursday, February 14, 2013 - Clearly a very young wine, with puple/violet highlights setting off the darker color of the wine. Uncommonly perfumed, feminine nose, very suave and sophisticated and elegant for a syrah. Lovely deep blueberry scent. Very complex. And the palate is a match, just about. Very soft but with a solid fruit backbone, this is crushed berry fruit all the way, just plain delicious drinking all by itself. Nice long, if gentle, finish. This is quite a successful effort, and a true steal at the modest ($13 Costco) price. To buy by the case if you can. 4-13-15-8: 90/100.
