Friday, September 13, 2013 - Way too ypung, super tannic but appears to be with more longevity potential than other vintages

9/13/2013 2:26:00 PM - Nice notes, but have to wonder what you were thinking drinking one of these so early. I hope you bought a case and this was a test bottle to see where the wine was at. I'm really looking forward to the 2010 vintage out of most of Western Italy and the Piedmonte. The 2011 vintage looks even better if that is somehow possible, especially in the Maremma. A better place to invest in Bordeaux blends than Bordeaux itself or California/WA state. Thats for the sacrifice of this wine as it confirm what I was thinking. I only have a singleton as I have no room in the cellar but didn't want to miss a full horizontal from the Maremma in 2010, sans Solaia (price is too high, for what you get compared to what's available, IMHO).

Remembering the 97s how they were hyped and how they were so approachable even young but are slowly going downhill now, this wine makes me very hopeful for the future!
