Friday, February 7, 2014 - Wildman Tasting at Peninsula (Chicago, IL): Very much closed and brooding right now. Darker toned fruit on the nose, but there's still that very primary "new wine smell". Tons of chewy tannins on a very dense palate. Quite a few vegetal notes as well, and I was very surprised to learn that the wine was 100% destemmed.
