Friday, February 25, 2011 - 14% ABV. Translucent dark ruby garnet in the glass with some clearing at the rim. Distinctly Pinot nose of funky black cherry, some metallic Pinot fruit, and more subtle smoke and meat in the background. Medium bodied and young with some earthy and stemmy notes dominating on the palate. A little short and tannic. Hold off on these for a bit. 89-90?
