Saturday, July 16, 2011 - A ripe-leaning RRV pinot with a lot of what you expect given the origin: red berry and cherry fruits, some oak to round it out, a touch of bitterness to the tannin on the finish. Those who like low-alcohol pinot won't go for this flavor profile, as it flirts with jamminess, but for those who like this style sometimes, there is a high-level of deliciousness here. Good for a non-wine geek crowd too - the lushness has a wow factor. Riper than most of the pinot that I drink, but I've been looking for a wine like this, that gives a little more lushness when you're in the mood for it. 91-92+
