Friday, November 11, 2011 - Pop and pour and followed over three hours. Re-corked and tasted the following day. Dark color with a smoky and herbaceous nose. I kept looking back at the bottle thinking it was syrah. Disjointed and weedy. Tasted like it was all whole cluster. Dark fruit and some heat; chalky. Not appealing. Bottle variation? Was this the dregs of the barrel?
