Thursday, August 18, 2016 - Big population of small, active and persistent bubbles. Nose: very aromatic with yeasty lemon zest, lavender and rosemary. Ripe white peach and cantaloupe. Palate: full bodied with pleasantly big acid and a good dose of creaminess. Barely but pleasingly perceptible residual sugar. Lemon and lime juice. Metallic minerality and a bit of salinity. Finish: the acid remains strong but this is the weakest component of a still very strong wine. Competes with similarly priced bubbly from elsewhere around the world, this still has a number of years of great drinking.
