Friday, May 8, 2015 - 15.2 % ABV. Opaque dark garnet in the glass. Interesting nose that mixes cool climate with ripe syrah fruit. Lavender, oak, vanilla and something meaty/savory. Full bodied and rich with somewhat oaky black fruit and seemingly more new world on the palate. I might like this a bit better with less overt oak or it might be the vintage.
