Monday, November 10, 2014 - As before. This is dark crimson with some bricking. A lively nose of menthol, meat and still some classic medoc red fruit. Soft entry, juicy fruit, elegant but firm acidity, dusty tannin and a long tapenade finish. This was clearly a brute in its youth and although it has mellowed wonderfully it has plenty left in the tank for another decade. I have had many tough, young and tense clarets that I hoped would end up like this. Effortless drinking. 94
