Tuesday, January 29, 2008 - This could be the best of my 95 Lafons yet. The bottle was stood up for about a week. Dark red, almost purple, very opaque. Terrific tobacco and herbs on the nose with a mean deep fruity streak. This has gained fat in the mouth- the acidity isn't holding back the fruit at all while it holds the wine together. Tannins are silky and nearly resolved. I get the sense that this is peaking right now.
