Thursday, August 7, 2014 - The Northern Reaches-Fixin and Marsannay (Arlequin Wine Merchant, San Francisco): Very pale with browning edge. Pretty aromatics with strawberry and caramel. Light, quite elegant, a wisp of sap, gentle sweetness of fruit and good tannic bite at the end. This has surprising authority and power in the mouth. Very good with a few years of further potential development.
