Monday, May 23, 2016 - Popped and poured, in the glass the nose is cassis, slightly alcoholic, peppery, both black and white. On the palate it is quite viscous, sweet, peppery, low acid, tannins have faded, and there is a bitter core. Seems like a Robert Parker kind of wine. After an hour the fragrance died and the alcohol blasted through. This wine needs more balance but it is a pleasant quaffer. Good extraction, not thin. Others noted it improved over time after opened. I wouldn't wait.
