Thursday, March 14, 2013 - Chianti Classico tasting- the black rooster crows at the dawn of a new age (Allerton Hotel, Chicago IL): Nose: Forward and easy nose with tones of red fruits, herbs, and cherries.
Taste: Medium bodied with medium acidity. There is nice balance to the tones of red fruits and cherries, but they are lacking depth.
Overall: This is a nice, but forgettable chianti. It's decent and balanced, but is fairly simple and straightforward.
