Wednesday, October 15, 2014 - Zak and Seth's Excellent wine and leftover wine adventure (Umi Nom (Clinton Hill, Brooklyn)): Zak brought this, and it had been open 24hrs. The first whiff was classic essence of Syrah: primary and open with dark fruits - blackberry, smoke, smoked meat, spice, earth, bacon. Very perfumed - violets. Fairly open on the palate with soft tannins, decent acid - with meat, red fruit, spice and dark flowers. Tart dusty meat finish. Really stupid QPR at $15 (nice find Z!). Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 4.5/6, Finish - 4.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15.5/20.

4/4/2015 6:57:00 PM - Where the heck was this found at $15 and is there anymore? I don't expect there to be based on the time elapsed but I have to ask. We just drank our first one last night and it was stellar.
