Monday, January 13, 2014 - Wow, is this really Bonny Doon??? From a winery that typically delivers thin, hollow wines, this is a shocker. Nose has a very pure cherry and floral nose with a touch of smoked meat. The midpalate has a great texture, thick extremely polished (chrome like). The finish is pure, racy and lush with cherry liqueur and again some subtle smoky notes.
Consumed at at cellar temp: 60°-65° F. Friends don't let friends drink red wine at room temp!
