Saturday, May 21, 2011 - Brickish colour, especially at the rim. Aged aromas, meaty and vegetal. But still some red fruit in there, perhaps smelling a little more baked/stewed than fresh. Palate is actually quite smooth and silky after 2+ hours of decanting. Still some chew to the tannin and the alcohol has become more noticeable, especially on the finish. But holding up ok still. Might go a couple of years yet.
