Saturday, January 25, 2014 - Notes from final glass of a bottle opened last night. Color is fully opaque purple, lightly-stained medium legs. No sediment. Pure blackcurrant, bramble, eucalyptus, and pencil shavings in the aroma wheel. Medium-big body, generous acidity, and tannins that are approachable. Well done, but not getting the wow factor that I think the price should deliver. Really, just a notch over a good standard cab and I'm longing for a little more depth and character. That might come out with more sleep in the cellar, but who knows. 5+10+16+8 = 89
