Saturday, March 23, 2013 - Slightly pale in color, but still a lovely bright ruby-garnet at the core, fading to amber at the rim. Very spirity throughout, but still showing considerable depth of red fruit, along with sweet, earthy root beer and bright orange peel. Enough acidity to seem lively. Thinnish yet in some respects fresh and youthful. A surprisingly pleasant experience, from a bottle with raised cork, old dried seepage, and top shoulder fill. Double decanted and left 12 hours in the open bottle. UK export probably bottled by Whitwham's, with cork plainly imprinted "Taylor Vintage 1935, Bottled 1937".
