Saturday, March 14, 2015 - Pale straw yellow in color. Subtle, elegant nose of white flower, almond, tangerine, and lemongrass. There is something savory about it that I can’t quite place, almost like grilled chicken with champagne vinaigrette; sounds weird, I know, but whatever it is, it’s quite inviting and appetizing. On the palate, it’s more tropical and exotic, with fruit flavors of melon, papaya, and pineapple, and it’s much less acidic than I would have expected given the low alcohol. The texture is supple but not heavy, and there’s a nuttiness again, as well as a zing of orange zest. There’s a slight chalkiness to it, too. The finish is quite long, leaving behind an impression of flowers and lemon pith.

Very distinctive and interesting. Enjoyed it quite a bit, and not a bad value either.
