Friday, June 5, 2015 - Huge fruit, impressively good, but young, young, young. The 2007, four years after its vintage date, was much different - young but still nearly perfect to drink. With this 2011, you just ache for it to get older.
Half a bottle, corked for two weeks - so the wine was in with a half bottle of air - came out quite good: enormous red berry and cherry presence, pleasurable to drink; if the air made it go "downhill" I think it was in the finish with some woody taste and harsh liquorice.
A very big wine, should be excellent many years from now.
