Friday, April 6, 2012 - I don't understand why folks on cellar tracker are calling this wine a Rose because it's not! It is a red grape variety indigenous to Asti, a DOC from piedmont commonly used to blend (on the back end of Nebbiolo). This wine is floral on the nose, with typical dried fruit characteristics. Also, it has a deceptively long finish although a light wine. I like this wine and an amazing value from California.
