90 Points

Friday, December 30, 2005 - The entry level Cabernet/Merlot blend made by Woodlands. Scored 94 points recently by Halliday and was included in his Top 101 wines for 2005. JO also rated it 93 points in his 2006 Wine Annual, so for $20 was expecting big things. Medium bodied, aromas of black fruits, blackberry, and oak hit the nose. The palate was more of the same, succulent, rich fruit and oak coating the tongue finishing with wonderful flavour and silky tannins. Great structure and balance and will only get better with age. For $20 a bottle, I'm buying a case!
