Friday, May 29, 2015 - This deep red/garnet wine has reached an impressive level of elegance and complexity. Within the first 30 minutes in the glass, it is effusive of red plum, milk chocolate, coriander, cardamom and savory game aromas. Medium-bodied and with medium acidity, it follows with similar flavors in a very round frame. The tannins have largely resolved, the oak is beautifully integrated and the alcohol (listed as 13%) is seamless. Layered and building in the middle, it closes with a silky-textured, long finish. Likely at its apogee, well-cellared bottles of this Grand Cru should be at their best over the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2019.
