90 Points

Saturday, June 7, 2014 - Nearly opaque purple going to pink at the edge, medium weight in the glass with beautiful legs. Initial violet aromas quickly give way to typical garrigue, meaty elements with a trace of barnyard and slight reductive notes. On the palate presents plum and blueberry fruit, with meat, olive, black licorice, and black pepper; good dose of slate minerality. The anise lingers on and on in the finish. Impressive package with excellent typicity without being ordinary or without distinctive character. Home run qpr. This is what CdR wants to be (but too often is not).
