Monday, February 16, 2015 - Opened about 1 hour prior to serving. Pours a dark, vivid red. On the nose there's notes of briar, red cherry, balsamic, oak, and kitchen spices. Very big and mouthfilling on the palate, with still-young tannins. A bit volatile as it opened, this was still very fun and interesting, and quite unlike any other Barbera I've tasted.
