Tuesday, December 18, 2012 - Burgundies in Tribeca (Tribeca Grill, NYC): I don't have words to do this justice. The fragrance here is just amazing - so intense, complex and layered with an incredibly vivid Vosne spice seasoning around pure, rich red and dark fruited flavours and the start of developing savoury notes. One of those wines that I could sit and smell all evening, except that the palate presence is something really special - incredibly powerful and broad, yet so remarkably elegant and finessed with a texture that's pure silk, and a finish that just keeps unravelling layers of fruit, earth and spice for minutes after each sip.
