Thursday, May 15, 2014 - This is exactly the type of pinot I have been searching for! An earthy style pinot. Notes of tobacco, leather, forest floor, dark cheeries. Long finish with lots of complexity. Smooth tanins. A great example of what the grapes from the Petaluma Gap can produce. I prefer this to many of our Williams Selyem wines. It doesn't have the boldness of many of the RRV pinots, so I would not age this past 5 - 7 years.
