Friday, September 24, 2010 - Medium garnet, much bricking. Lovely and clean nose of beef roast, cedar, menthol, leather, raspberry; less complex than tonight's '81 but cleaner. Delicate raspberry fruit among many mixed herbs, leather, cedar and tar flavors. Finishes a little acidic but long. Our last bottle and a beauty, the only Beaucastel vintage that we never saw go through a dumb stage, a real treat. From our last magnum, bottle # 2 of two.
