Sunday, January 9, 2005 - I was very concerned when I removed the capsule because there were obvious signs of leakage. Despite that the wine is in glorious shape. The color is quite dark with only a hint of orange on the rim. The nose shows classic aged Cdp with crushed cherries, smoke, and a slight hint of horse. It also has more minerality than I usually find. The palate is well integrated with air is picking up more and more weight. I find tastes of very sweet cherries, minerality, and some smoke. It lacks a bit of depth and complexity, but it is a very pleasing drink.
