90 Points

Friday, October 10, 2014 - Third bottle from Zachys case purchase. Good ruby color, no bricking or signs of failure in bottle. Nose initially is tight, with green fruit, cranberry, spice and intermittent Brett notes. On the palate tart and acid nuance, the wine is not flat and has benefited from bottle age. Flavors of cranberry, stone fruit, dried cherry, garrigue, old pipe, root, and green herb. Light on its feet in mouth feel yet deep with nuance and age. Can't beat aged wines of this nature. Seek and discover . . .
