Friday, November 13, 2015 - AP 18; with Wackers and Dale Benedict in Columbus on Wednesday 11/11/15. Served with Acorn Squash roasted with cranberries and apples, and roast salmon and Old Bay fish seasoning.

Light colored but dense-appearing for type; cream, cloves, touch of orange peel, spiced peach, plenty of Prüm lees; integrated sweeness and good texture, clean juicy finish. A 'creamy' Sonnenuhr, somewhat lean but well put together and harmonious. Absolutely perfect for both foods--can it be, Riesling and roast cranberries? Riesling and roast salmon? Wouldn't try this with any but the best salmon, which of course Kurt Wacker provided for us. My memory of this wine is its great consistency in providing just the right note, especially as a table wine with food (!) 94/100.
