Tuesday, July 28, 2015 - A modern red that is satisfying but, ultimately, cannot transcend the limitations of the vintage. Inky red in color; full in body; muted nose. Tastes of plum, blackberry, cedar, and pepper, with an aftertaste of ash and olive. 14.8% alcohol. The mid-palate is a bit thin, which - at least to me - suggests that this kind of red needs more fruit - fruit that the year did not provide.
