Wednesday, October 2, 2013 - Napa Valley Wine and Food Excursion 2013; 9/30/2013-10/5/2013 (Napa Valley, California): This wine is a blend of 95% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Sémillon. Pale yellow in color, it certainly is not pale in flavor or crispness. Aromas of kiwi, white peaches, melon and lemongrass adorn the nose. On the palate, similar flavors are nicely supported by fresh acidity in a light-bodied frame. Although this wine does see some oak in vinification, its influence is subtle and there is no masking of the beautiful fruit. The flavors build nicely in the middle and the finish is both lengthy and juicy. This is an outstanding quality Sauvignon Blanc worth the search. Drink now-2016.

12/26/2013 10:32:00 AM - This is a real hidden hero isn't it? I had no idea until we sat down in their tasting room and "discovered" it just a few days before you did. There are folks that want their SBs to make their teeth and nostrils hurt, but I'm not one of them and I suspect neither are you. I enjoy the pleasure this wine gives without any pain. Enjoy!
