2010 Montepeloso Eneo Toscana IGT

Community Tasting Note

Does not like this wine:

Tuesday, February 4, 2014 - Opened with slow-ox for 90 minutes. Not a wine for me. Super Tuscan to the core. Massive fruit and alcohol on the palate with a harsh finish that seems to be prevalent in wines like this (Super Tuscan/California). It seemed ultra-modern in style and It lacked the elegance, grace and finesse of wines from Piedmont. Perhaps it is still too young. Perhaps it is just me. Will see what day 2 brings.

I do see where you're coming from and if it's one thing that I have come to understand about myself, it's that I'm able to enjoy the most classic wines, right next too the more modern styled. As for the Eneo, I believe this wine will mature into something grand--it has all the necessary components to do so. It sounds like it's just not your thing.
