Saturday, October 6, 2012 - Decanted for sediment, tasted over 4 hrs
-surprisingly dark ruby core with minimal clearing at edges
-gorgeous aromatics with sweet dark fruit, iron, earth, Gevrey spice, and forest floor
-med acidity gives it vibrant life, loads of mid-palate sap give it power with little weight, tannins nearly completely resolved, ripe dark fruited, minimal trace of oak on the finish, ok complexity and length, on the less animale side of Gevrey
-drinking beautifully now, still fresh but some secondary development, at peak with many good years remaining, WIN!
