Nose: Waxy, coastal, and with sweet barley and hints of vanilla. Extremely graceful, almost sweet (not candied) ginger. Lemon zest and pith (waxiness), drop of peach juice. Yellow acidic grapes, wet stones, and freshly spun cotton candy. More wax than smoke, and clearly a well-made and excellent dram. The vanilla turns more rich with time.

Palate: Rich and just really superb. The sort of thing that I could drink every day. Really all the same as the nose, though the ginger is more spicy than sweet here, and the waxy fruit is more dominant - the coastalish qualities are a bit quieter.

Finish: Ooh, there's ash and more of a lightly peated quality to it now to go with the fruit and wax. Ginger remains with the rest. Another one of those excellent Clynelish, almost a bit more like a less peated and farmy, more candied Brora. It's a good 'un.
