Sunday, January 17, 2016 - A quick lunch : 96 Harlan and 12 Lafon Perrieres (Eddie V's): Very ripe 12 fruit expression but bright acidity kept the wine in balance. Sweet ripe yellow fruits, lemon curd, slight unripe yellow peach, honey, spicy spices and a hint of toasted oak. Exceptional concentration, succulent yellow fruit driven palate impression, good presence of mineral, bright acidity and long dense finish. Very serious wine. Pop and pour, it got better with air. I highly recommend a couple hours of decanting to bring better precision.
