Friday, June 16, 2006 - Purchased this year from Arroyo as part of their offering of "library wines". This wine is a dark ruby olor and has nice aromas of cherry and sandalwood. On the palate it displays cherries, casis, and currant. It displays a dry and tart finish that never recedes, making the finish thin rather than what you would expect. The wine has aged well, but I expect will only lose fruit going forward. I never tasted this wine when it was young and can not say if the dry finish was always there or not.
