Friday, November 14, 2014 - Tasted in double-blind fashion from a bottle provided by M.B., this deep ruby wine offers nice aromas of cherry, coriander, orange zest and cocoa. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, freshly acidic and has well-integrated alcohol (14.4%). Although light in weight, the wine's tannins are somewhat angular and the promise of the nose is not fully delivered in the spartan flavor profile. Thinning a bit in the middle, it concludes with a short-to-medium-length finish. While short-term cellaring may be beneficial here, I would not necessarily bank on it. Drink now-2019.
