Wednesday, October 7, 2015 - A wet Wednesday so we decided to partake in an Around the World Sip (approximately 150ml for two people) courtesy of Coravin. No particular wines, vintages or reason…just because, well, we thought it would be fun!
Although not 2001, we think this wine is sipping very nicely now. Pleasant and rounded, medium-bodied, silky yet tantalising tannins. Licorice and a bit of chocolate on the palate. She slow dances extremely well, but is the weekend tryst you will remember and will seek out, now and again, along with soothing music, cheese and excellent bread? Possibly.
The lower level of “special”, “buy every year” and seek to share with your best sipping friends. We, as big Talbot fans, make this remark...we always expect Talbot to be mid to high-level special. And so it goes...
