Tuesday, February 18, 2014 - From 75cl screwcap. Just recognizable as a dark-cherry led, hot-country PN, but more like Grenache from an underachieving Spanish producer in terms of texture, sweetness and of course the bruising 14,5% alc. Impurely, overbearingly sweet; muddy texture. Budget PN is difficult, of course, but there are better efforts at this price level, for example from Austria or even (of course in a much skinnier style) Germany. It is just conceivable that this might taste better next year if it sheds some puppy fat, but I'm not holding my breath. 79-80P. Update 20.02.2014: This has actually improved after standing open for two days, gaining a hint of acidic nerve and vitality on the entry. 82P(?)
