Saturday, January 22, 2011 - Dark ruby color. Classic Pauillac nose of lead pencil, leather, tar. Very elegant with sweet resolving tannins, none of the astringency I have found in a lot of 88s. Beautiful blackberry, plum, and grilled steak flavors with a long vibrant finish. I was very pleasantly surprised by how this performed. I'll be looking for this at future auctions.
