Saturday, July 26, 2014 - A day 2 glass from a 375 opened last night at dinner; the color is like liquid caramel, with orange accents. Gorgeous nose, with caramel, apricots and a citrus underpinning - this is a nose you could enjoy without even tasting the wine.
On the palate, liquefied apricot. While this is a different flavor profile, stylistically the wine reminds me of Kracher. Really coats the palate, but like Kracher, I think some might find the acid inadequate for the sweetness of the wine.
That said, while I could see this being a divisive dessert wine, I love it!
